Terms of use & license agreement

The Service

Radiance offers a library of high-resolution wallpapers, free to browse and download, plus an optional paid subscription (“Radiance Plus”) that unlocks additional features. The wallpapers are created by independent artists and by the Radiance team.

Your license to use the wallpapers

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to download and use the wallpapers solely as backgrounds on devices you personally own. You may also share a link to a wallpaper using the built-in Share feature.

You may not:

• download in bulk, scrape, crawl, or use any automated means to access or collect the wallpapers, images, or data;
• redistribute, republish, sell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise share the wallpaper files with others;
• use any wallpaper for a commercial purpose;
• incorporate the wallpapers into another app, product, service, dataset, or machine-learning / AI training set;
• remove or alter any attribution, watermark, or metadata.

Any use beyond the personal use described above including commercial use, licensing, or redistribution requires our prior written permission. For any such request, please ask the team via our Discord community.

Content ownership & artist license

Each wallpaper is owned by the artist who created it. Artists keep ownership of their work and grant Radiance the license below when they publish through the platform. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any wallpaper to you.

The Radiance name, logo, and branding belong to Radiance. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.

The app, premium & security

Except as permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or assets of the app. You may not circumvent, disable, or interfere with any access control, paywall, or premium gating (including Radiance Plus), nor attempt to gain unauthorized access to, overload, or disrupt the Service or its servers.

Radiance Plus is sold through the Apple App Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled, and the lifetime option is a one-time purchase.

This agreement is between you and Radiance only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must be old enough to use the App Store in your country.

Reporting infringement

If you are an artist or rights holder and believe that content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us via our Discord community with enough detail to identify the work. We will review and remove infringing content where appropriate.

No warranty & liability

The Service and the wallpapers are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Radiance is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Termination

The licenses granted to you end automatically if you breach these terms. We may also suspend or restrict access to the Service at any time, in particular in response to abuse, scraping, or attempts to circumvent the premium features.

Changes & general terms

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. To the extent any governing law must apply, these terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
